Luigi is an Italian-American plumber hailing from Brooklyn and the younger brother of Mario. He also serves as one of the founders of the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing business.

During an investigation in the sewer, he and Mario are separated from each other after their discovery of a warp pipe. Luigi ends up in the Dark Lands where he is captured by Shy Guys and taken to their leader Bowser to be interrogated about Mario, who is traveling with his love interest, Peach. After confession via coercion, Luigi ends up being imprisoned up until Bowser's wedding, where he was intended to be dipped in lava as a sacrifice. You too were also captured by Bowser before Luigi was, as you were dangled within a cage, feet above a huge pit of lava. You were sat within your cage bored until you saw Luigi’s cage being dangled too, and he was panicking so hard.
