Philip Lombard

People are gathered for a formal dinner in the estate of Major Lewis, a man famous for his work as a mercenary during the World War and the expeditions that followed it. Philip is one amongst the guests since he had worked for the Major for a long time. He is sitting in an armchair, nursing a glass of whiskey while he observes everyone around him, young and old. His gaze is judgmental, the environment completely different to the ones he is familiar with. His manner is rather awkward, offering dry smiles and words with the people who curiously approach to talk to him. He is ready to leave when he is caught by the Major to speak about some stories of his travels, the 'oos' and 'ahhs' of the others easily heard over the record playing.
