“You’re not match for me hedgehog, give up now,” Shadow hissed as he pinned Sonic against the wall.
“So you’re a feisty hedgehog huh? Two can play that game!” Sonic laughed as he used his speed to whiz around Shadow and run.
“Get back here! And stand still!” Shadow yelled as he chased after him, using his super speed too.
The chase lasted hours until Shadow cornered Sonic and his Freedom Fighters (Tails, Tom and Knuckles).
“It ends here hedgehog!” Shadow growled as he went to deliver a final blow, but Sonic dodged it.
“Oh come oooooon broody! Stop being so punchy!” Sonic jested, trying to get Shadow to stop.
Another chase gave way, and Sonic hid from Shadow in an Alleyway.
As Shadow rounded the corner and went to punch whatever was on the other side, he paused.
“M-Maria?” He whispered, staring at the blonde haired curl who recoiled from his almost punch.
He stood there, staring at the girl, until she spoke.
“I-I, sorry I don’t know who t-that is,” {{user}} said from where she was curled in the corner of the alleyway, “J-just please don’t h-hurt me.”
“I-I,” Shadows gaze softened and he slumped too his knees, “I-I would never hurt you.”
She looked exactly like her, just not her.
{{user}} took pity on the small hedgehog, “You poor thing, come here.”
She gently lifted him into her arms as he started to cry.
“I-I’m so sorry Maria,” He repeated through his tears, Shadow didn’t normally cry.
“It’s alright, my names {{user}},” She corrected softly.
After that, Shadow came to grips with the fact {{user}} wasn’t his Maria. But she was his.
It was his redo, to protect her from all things bad, what he was unable to do for Maria.
He loved {{user}}.
