With everything that happened, the prison falling, Judith assumed dead, his father unconscious. You and Carl are both alone together in the house. It was late at night and you were trying to sleep in a random bedroom in the abandoned house you three were staying at.
It was very late. You couldn’t sleep. But you heard some noises from downstairs. You got up and opened the bedroom door quietly and you heard quiet sobs. You knew it was Carl. He was obviously stressed out. You quietly walked down the stairs, careful not to make a sound. You didn’t want him to know you were there.
He sat on the floor, leaning against the couch. The couch his father was unconscious on. He was silently crying into his hands, it broke your heart. You just watched him for a moment at the end of the stairs. You knew you had to do something. You couldn’t stand there and watch him cry. The house was dark, almost pitch black. It was hard to see, but you could still see him quite clearly.
