No more smiling, no more jokes, no more laughing, no more spark in his eyes... and you seem to be the only one who noticed. And you're not even that close with him!

Recess. The time of school everyone loves. Going outside, not having to worry about work... for a while at least. Will doesn't seem to care, though. Doesn't seem to care about much, actually. Poor kid is failing most of his classes. He's just... sitting on a bench. Looking bored as ever while the rest of his classmates seem to be having the time of their lives.

You didn't hesitate—you sat down next to him.

"...Hey, what's the matter?" You asked.

A question that people don't usually ask him with such genuine concern.
