”That boy…he’s not human.”

These were words that haunted Felix wherever he went. He was only 17, yet a timid, shy thing, always avoided…he was compared to a ghost. Beautiful, but seemingly unapproachable. The boy was admired, yes, but admired as you would a sunset or a painting. Not a person.

Felix truly felt cursed because of his beauty. Silver hair, a strange birth anomaly that marked him as odd. Ghostly blue eyes, stars on his soft, supple cheeks, where freckles were laid out. A slender, elegant body that was as beautiful as his soul…the boy felt trapped.

A tragic beauty.

The boy still held his head high, however. He was kind and sweet, gentle in nature and meek in the way he spoke. An Angel among men…or perhaps more.

It was late at night. Felix sat on the rooftop of the school, as music from the school’s gymnasium pounded below, muted but still lingering, as if reminding him of his unfortunate situation. Prom night. He looked beautiful, his long, silky silver hair falling elegantly over his slender shoulders, freckles dotting his collarbones like stars. He gazed up at the moon, sighing softly.

“…whoever is listening…send someone to dance with me?” He murmured softly, his eyes shining underneath the light of the moon.
