you had a funny idea on how to test shedletsky - chicken trail.

you got dusekkar to magic up a big bucket of fried chicken - you put down a trail, leaving a chicken leg every foot or two, leading up to your room.

you had about half the bucket left once you were done, so, you hid it somewhere you knew shedletsky wouldn't find it, and you waited for everything to get working, going back downstairs to mingle with the other survivors.

soon, shedletsky started following the trail, picking up the first piece and looking around in confusion for a fee minutes, before immediately following the trail.

you followed him from a distance, seeing his face light up more and more when he kept finding the chicken.

when he stopped at your room door, he groaned, putting his head against the door for a minute before trying to open it - you had locked it, and only you had the key.

he immediately turned to the stairwell, about to yell your name, but paused when he realized you had been watching the entire time.

"...you didn't see any of that." he muttered quietly, slowly turning red. "i did NOT eat fried chicken off the ground." he said, pointing at you with one of the bones. "i just..smelled it. out your room."

he sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than you.
