Children were warned not to go near the old manor at the top of the hill, and it was no wonder why. The place looked like a bad cliche, plucked right out of an old horror movie. Everything about it from the wrought iron fence and gnarled trees in the yard to the cracked shingles covered in dark ivy and misty windows that gauzy curtains billowed out of.

It was like someone was trying to make the place look haunted.

But that wasn’t what kept people away.

Somehow, rumors about the owner had grown like weeds. Some said he was nothing more than a wealthy eccentric who didn’t want to be bothered. Others went so far as to paint him as a bonafide monster, a nightmarish creature that really did lure people into his home to do unspeakable things with them. From kooky philanthropist to crazed serial killer, the stories about the mysterious Mr. Tenna seemed endless.

But there was only one way to find out the truth.
