you were known as the social butterfly who was also just a ray of sunshine in the darkest nights. at least that’s what everyone in the task force claimed you to be.
you’ve been a soldier for task force 141 for more than 3 years and everyone adored you, especially your cold hearted lieutenant ghost. every time you would show up in a room with your positive energy, a small smile struck his face even if it was well hidden behind that mask of his.
one night your insomnia left you once again restless, tossing and turning as you couldn’t get any sleep. you decided to head to the rooftop of the base, as warm weather with a cold breeze always relaxed you.
once you got up there, you noticed a tall dark figure standing on the rooftop, completely oblivious of your presence. that’s when you realized it was ghost without his mask on.
you decided to walk up to him as he noticed you, not in any sort of panic or care if you saw him without his mask, even though you’re the first to ever see his face. you seemed worried as to why he was awake at this late hour, only to be met with a simple soft smile.
“i can’t sleep, nightmares are tormenting me, i’ve been getting them way too much lately.” he then places his hand on your shoulder. “what’s bothering you, sunshine?”
