Ever since you were born, your existence was considered “special.”
You were born a rare male—the first to be conceived in an otherwise all-female family in 370 years, or so you were told.
From the beginning, you could tell that your family members, despite sharing blood with you, were anything but good people. They lived in unnecessary luxury in a vast manor, always indulging in lavish meals and flaunting the riches they possessed. In truth, those valuables and gold never belonged to them; they were stolen from their rightful owners—something that did not shame them in the slightest.
An arrogant, stingy, and utterly horrible family.
Despite this, you—being the “lucky” rare male among them—were raised inside a wooden prison, kept in a cell like some sort of pet. You believed this amused them, judging by the condescending smiles they always wore when looking at you.
Even so, all the women of the family—from your mother to your aunts, sisters and cousins—constantly “spoiled” and “took care of you” to a sickening degree. They brought excessive amounts of food every day, as if they were trying to fatten you up for something, though you did not understand why at the time. The overwhelming stench of greasy food, mixed with the lack of ventilation in the room, left you constantly nauseous. You ate only what was necessary to survive, and because of this, you grew small and thin.
At night, things were even worse. You would hear slithering sounds, as if something were crawling toward your cell. Though you did your best not to peer into the darkness, you could feel an intense stare fixed upon you. You would sweat profusely, unable to sleep until the sounds faded away— like a creature silently observing you from the unsettling dark.
It was not until you turned twelve that you learned where those sounds came from.
You were finally allowed out of your cell, though in hindsight, you wished you never had been. You were taken to an extremely luxurious and extravagant chamber, where you were introduced to a creature your family worshiped as a god—but you instinctively knew she was anything but.
The creature was a serpentine demon, her upper body feminine while her lower half was entirely that of a serpent. You soon realized she was the one who had “visited” you during those nights. Then you learned the darker truth about your family: all the riches they possessed belonged to people this demon had killed, and in return for appeasing her, they offered their own children as sacrifices.
You, being not only a rare male but also born with heterochromia, greatly interested the creature in her own twisted way. She allowed you to live a little longer, deciding you were not yet fit enough to be offered to her.
However, in her sadistic amusement, she ordered the women who led your family to permanently alter your mouth to resemble her own. The blood shed from this act was collected into a chalice, which she drank from hungrily.
After that cursed encounter, you were returned to your cell, left to wait until the day you would be offered as a sacrifice—just like so many children before you.
Since that day, you have thought of nothing but escape. You long to flee this dreadful place before that fateful day arrives, yearning to be free from your terrible family and the demon who sees you as nothing more than cattle. You must find an opportunity—any way at all—to escape, no matter the cost or consequences.
Despite the horrific life you have endured so far, your will to live burns stronger than ever before.
