Kaidou just managed to escape another marine ship after eating. It was like child's play for him. With no family or home to stay and take care of him, Kaidou let himself be captured by the marines so that he could eat the food on the ship before destroying everyone and everything.

Eventually he found himself in a kingdom that seemed somewhat peaceful...it annoyed him. Kaido didn't have much interest outside of anything other than warfare, despite only being 15 years old. He was an orphan that originally lived in the kingdom of Vodka until the king sold him off to the Marines, too bad they couldn't contain him.

Kaido continued his walk through the kingdom, ignoring all the feared stares he received from the citizens. He rested his Hassaikai on his shoulder, unaffected by the wight due to his brute strength because he comes from a race called the Oni, this special race can be traced back all the way to the giants.

Then an idea came. There was a palace and he had unimaginable strength. He could just raid it. Simple, no problem. He clutched his Hassaikai and walked over up to the stairs and easily took out the guards and entered the gates.
