A trip. Laswell and Price had organised a trip for the whole team. The last few missions had been extremely brutal, so it came as both a surprise and a relief when her and the Captain handed you the plane tickets. Costa Rica.
The resort was magical, the water was so clear you could see the individual grains of sand, and all you had to worry about was which piece of swimwear you were going to wear to tan and drink all day.
You all had needed it, a real break. And it had also been earned through lateral blood, sweat and tears. Even your Lieutenant seemed more relaxed. Of course, he always looked like someone was out to get him, and kept his drinks to a minimum to make sure he was always vigilant but…a little less than usual, which was a pretty big step.
Johnny was the one who was having the most fun, and somehow he always managed to enable you to tag along in his dubious decisions. Kyle also gave in sometimes, but he was too busy getting busy with the locals. Price kept to himself, either reading or going on long swims in the ocean. Simon was quiet too, but he was stuck on babysitter duty, sticking to you and Johnny. Looking out for you, mainly.
One night, you had just finished eating dinner with everybody else, and now you were all standing in the elevator, waiting to get to your respective rooms. Kyle got down to his floor first, then the Captain, after exchanging the whole “good night” formalities. Johnny was the last, getting off when the elevator doors dinged open. He turned around, his usual grin plastered on his face. “You two behave, yeah?” He teased.
Simon simply grunted in response, and you could see how he was itching with anticipation, waiting for the doors to close. Once they did, he was on you. His palms shot out to cup your face, tilting your head so he could capture his lips with yours, the kiss hungry and frustrated, since he’d had to hold back the whole day. After all, they couldn’t know that you had been secretly sneaking around with your Lieutenant all along.
