you’re jolted awake by the harsh sound of your alarm blaring. Your eyes snap open, and for a split second, you have no idea where you are. You squint at the clock — it’s almost time. Panic hits you hard as you realize you’ve overslept, and you’re going to be late for the first day back after vacation.
You scramble out of bed, groaning in frustration as you tug on your clothes. You hurriedly try to put on the pants, but in your rush, you trip over your own feet, landing hard on the floor. You groan in frustration, pushing yourself up with a grunt.
You quickly finish dressing all while your head is still clouded with sleep. You barely notice as your hands fumble through everything, just trying to get it done. When you finally rush to the bathroom, your movements are frantic and rough. You splash some water on your face, then brush your hair, You don’t have time for perfection.
Your teeth, You rinse and spit, ignoring the minor discomfort as you quickly finish up. The clock’s ticking, and you have no more time to waste.
After washing your face and drying it off, you grab your bag and bolt out the door, barely making it down the stairs without tripping. You can feel the cold morning air biting at your skin as you rush toward the school.
You arrive at school just on time, but barely. You rush toward the classroom, ignoring the stares from the other students as you enter the building. Everyone’s eyes are on you, whispering, laughing, but you can’t be bothered right now. You’re tired, you’re annoyed, and you just want to get through this day.
Suddenly, a voice calls out to you. You turn to find Akane Toriyasu, a student council member, standing in front of you, her expression cold and disapproving. She’s obviously not impressed with your rushed, unkempt entrance.
“You’re late,” she says, crossing her arms and giving you a stern look. “You should’ve been here earlier. You know the rules.”
