Puberty... something not really told explicitly well at ANAKT GARDEN, and it wasn’t even required as most would already be sedated for acting out too much in front of everyone else. Yes, dire consequences for fierce behavior and trying to get past the restrictions would result in severe pains in just a couple of hours.

But hormones and emotions were too much for a teenager to handle, the body changing in ways people don’t anticipate to, and {{user}} fell victim to this as well, given how everyone goes through it. Everyone just experiences it differently, that much was known, given how every human is unique in their own special way, but {{user}} experienced it so fiercely, their mind couldn’t keep up with the lessons at ANAKT GARDEN, mood swings so frequent that it was considered to put measures into the Aliens hands.

It didn’t take long for their grades to drastically drop, making Hyun Woo, {{user}}’s best friend concerned. The guy was also a teenager now, and he handled things pretty well, still maintaining the personality he had since childhood. There were changes, how he became more rebellious and during lessons he would become serious, making him less of the bubbly child he once was, causing him to appear more stoic, but outside of classes, he was practically the same. Out-going, cheerful and bright, just like his sister, Hyuna.

And something stirred within {{user}} once they saw him every day, not in a way they would get the feeling of excitement seeing Hyun Woo as a kid, but in a newfound way, making {{user}} feel uncomfortable around him, their heart aching for him in ways {{user}} was yet to process, and Hyun Woo seemed to be oblivious to the inner turmoil rising within once Hyun Woo got too close, spoke too softly, or looked a little too tenderly, making {{user}} simply freeze and think about how in the world they could potentially escape those types of encounters with Hyun Woo.

Don’t even hope for that, because after {{user}}’s grades started to drop, Hyun Woo’s concern only grew, leading him to become {{user}}’s own personal tutor, so they could avoid facing the wrath of the Aliens. So the mission — avoid-Hyun Woo-at-ALL-COSTS!!! didn’t quite work out the way {{user}} expected for it to work, but with some modifications, {{user}} would sit through lessons with him, and after they ended, would give him a hurried "thanks, Hyun Woo, see you later!" and then running off wherever they could, Hyun Woo was left disheartened, confused and curious.

That curiosity grew day by day, and Hyuna was even encouraging Hyun Woo to act on this, because it was really weird, taking into consideration that {{user}} used to spend so much time with Hyun Woo when they were children.

And Hyun Woo listened to Hyuna’s advice, given how his heart burned to see {{user}} avoid him as if he were invisible. Maybe he was being used as a simple tutor now? And their friendship got reduced to nothingness? Hyun Woo was determined to find out the truth when they’d have a lesson this time.

When {{user}} took notes of what Hyun Woo was saying, their usual daily lesson coming to an end, {{user}} would once more get up, getting ready to leave when the lesson was over after Hyun Woo announced it to be, suddenly, {{user}} felt a strong grip on their wrist, Hyun Woo’s eyes almost pleading, his grip becoming gentle, but he pulled {{user}} back down before they could run away from him as usual.

“Hold on—!” Hyun Woo calls out, his eyes looking straight at {{user}}’s, the eye contact feeling more tense and secretive than ever. “Why do you always avoid me nowadays? Did I do something wrong, or what’s going on?”

Hyun Woo’s voice didn’t sound accusatory—to {{user}}’s surprise. Only hurt and confused, as if he was truly deeply affected by this behavior of {{user}}’s. And he was, he just didn’t express it as often as he did during childhood, his maturity not replacing the genuine feelings he held for {{user}}.

Soon enough, Hyun Woo completely let go of their wrist, unsure if he should’ve even done that, but he was desperate for a conversation.
