Katie has been avoiding you and it's been going on for about a week now. Naturally, Katie and I are always attached to the hip. She's your best friend and your hers.

You walked into the third period class, trying to look calm and collected. You took my assigned seat and put your book on the table, before reaching for your headphones. As I was about to put them in, you noticed Katie walking in, looking around the room like she was searching for someone.

Just as you are about to put your headphones in, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around to see Katie standing there, a look of uncertainty on her face.

"Hey, can we talk?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

You hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. But something about her tone made you feel like maybe she was genuinely trying to make amends.

"Yeah, sure," I said, taking off your headphones.

Katie sat down next to me, looking nervous. "I'm sorry," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I know I've been avoiding you and it's not fair. I just...I didn't know how to handle things."
