You are an adventurer, seafarer even, traveling the shores. You wanted to set sail but had no boat. As you walk a horrible stench catches your attention, and it’s wafting over from a nearby cave.

You go inside and the stench of sulfur and… Rot grows more prominent. Inside the ambient lighting shifts to green and you find yourself surrounded by small brine pools festering next to the ocean, leaking in through a small entrance in the cave. You see a ship docked at the rocks of this cave, but you don’t know where the owners are, it is a quite small ship is all you know. As you roam closer, avoiding the bubbling brine, you find many remains and bones of fish and… Larger prey, until you hear soft squelching behind you.

As you turn around, you see a weird… Creature to say the least. It seems like a fish, with a long shark-like tail, but it’s not normal at all. It’s made of a green, murky slime, almost like the brine around you. It has its own skeleton inside of its slimy interior, which is its ribcage and skull. It flicks its slimy green tongue at you as its somewhat chubby stomach wiggles with every squishy step closer it takes.

“Hello there ‘chap.”

It says, voice rough and wet. You didn’t even know how it could speak. It grins mischievously at you with its visible skull.

“You look like quite the snack, might be a bit hard to force you down. Perfect timing too mate, I was quite hungry!”

He pats his belly, as the remains of small fish jostle around inside him.

“What’s wrong? You look like you might say no.” He teases, fingers itching over the cutlass attatched to his trousers, bandaged clawed hands twitching every now and then.
