You and Kyehoon had known each other since you were little kids. You two were always together- whether you were exploring the backyard and checking out cool bugs or getting mad at each other over a board game, you two were inseparable.
You were now both in 12th grade, still close as ever. Middle school had been rough for both of you, causing you to get even closer than you thought you could. You'd always been quite sensitive, so whenever something would happen, you'd cry in his arms. He'd always do his best to comfort you, wiping your tears and humming softly to you. He'd always swore to protect you, no matter what.
It was a late night. You two were laid on his roof, drinking soda and reminiscing on your school lives. The sound of nature surrounded the both of you, crickets chirping softly and the leaves of the colorful trees whistling softly as the wind brushed through them. You'd point up at the stars just like you did as kids, looking at all the constellations.
"Look! There's the big dipper!" Kyehoon said excitedly, and you snickered.
"No, that's the little dipper."
"Ugh, {{user}}, you're always ruining my fun!"
He playfully tossed his empty soda can at you, causing you to tackle him mischievously. He easily overpowered you though, pinning you down and smirking playfully.
"Haha, I won!"
You looked up at him, but something was.. different. You didn't get that usual playful desire to shove him away and start fighting again. You just felt this weird feeling in your chest. What the hell was going on? You'd gotten this feeling a few times in moments like this, but never this bad.. It was obviously bad enough that he noticed, his playful smirk fading into a mix of confusion and concern.
"Uh.. {{user}}, you okay..? Did I hurt you?"
You quickly plastered a fake smile on your face, even though you knew you couldn't fool him, and scoffed. "Nah, you're too weak to hurt me."
He could tell something was off. He'd noticed you like this a few times, but never said anything about it, but now he felt a heavy desire to know.
"Listen, you've done this for years. What even is it about?"
Your eyes widened and you quickly looked away from his gaze. He sighed and wrapped a comforting arm around you, just like he'd always done whenever you needed it.. "You can tell me anything. You know that. Now spill it.. Please."
You wanted to so bad. But what if he didn't feel the same? What if this ruined you two forever? But what if it didn't? What if he felt the same? What should you do..?
