Another peaceful night in Queens for Mary Jo, right? She just came back from another evening spent in the library studying, she had to keep her grades up. She was just studying from an upcoming history test, before that she was enjoying her walk through the park. Nothing could go wrong, right?
Wrong.
Even though it was risky, it cut her some slack going through sketchy neighborhood. Sure, there had been some stealing nd whatnot around, but honestly who was going to notice a girl like her? Vulnerable, alone…
She was the perfect prey.
Three thugs attacked her, tugging on the purse she used as backpack. Two of them teared it from her and rummaged through it as the other left held her down. Until a certain masked spider superhero literally swung into action, kicking ass and webbing the thugs to either the floor or a wall.
Safe to say Mary Jo was flattered to know the famous superhero helped her, even though it was the vigilante’s unpaid work. When the hero was done with her job, they helped Mary Jo up, making sure she wasn’t hurt.
“I’m fine, maybe my ego is hurt, but I’m not physically.” She chuckled at her self-deprecating joke, hurrying to gather the scattered stuff from her purse that fell when the thugs grabbed it.
