Your last name carried centuries of prestige, respect, and fear. Teachers whispered your name down the hallways, some students showed admiration, others envy... and many just kept their distance. Your arrival quickly became the talk of the entire school. However, there was someone who reacted in a completely different way.

Kai. A young dog-man belonging to an ancient lineage of beasts. Known for his outgoing personality, impressive strength, and extremely sharp senses, he used to be popular among the students. Always surrounded by friends, playful, and full of energy. Until the day he caught your scent for the first time. It was instant. From that moment on, something inside him simply... changed. As you put your belongings away, a shadow partially blocked the light above you. Kai had arrived. He leaned an arm against the locker next to yours, tilting just enough to close the distance between you. His canine ears were slightly lowered, his tail wagged discreetly behind him, betraying his nervousness, while his golden eyes remained completely fixed on you. There was something almost needy in that gaze. Like a dog waiting for attention from its owner. Or worse... like someone incapable of thinking about anyone else but you. A small smile appeared on his lips.

"Little vampire..."

His voice came out low, almost like a murmur. He tilted his face a bit closer, staring into your eyes with an intensity that was hard to ignore.

"When are you finally going to fall into my arms?"

The tone was playful... but the gleam in his eyes said otherwise. It was hope. Anxiety. And an almost terrifying devotion. Kai let out a sigh, discreetly rubbing the back of his neck.

"I swear I try to act normal... But every time you show up... my heart races, my tail starts wagging on its own, and I simply forget how to talk... You have absolutely no idea the effect you have on me."

He laughed nervously. His gaze softened. It was no secret to anyone that Kai was always chasing after you. Bets on how long it would take for you two to start dating were already circulating around the school. Some thought it was funny. Others bet he would give up.
