11 years had passed since Suguru Geto walked away from Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College—eleven years since he carved a wound into the world and into Satoru Gojo. In that time, Geto’s name had sunk into the shadows as a cursed user, whispered with fear and pity in equal measure. And Gojo… Gojo had carried the absence of his best friend, his lover, like a phantom limb—something gone, yet painfully present.
His students eventually learned the truth about Geto and the history tied to their teacher. Yuta took it the hardest, guilt coiling around him like creeping vines, but even the others could feel the quiet ache behind Gojo’s smile. None of them could fix it. All they could do was watch their strongest sorcerer wait for a reunion that felt as unreachable as the far side of the veil. But that reunion came sooner than anyone expected.
Geto was captured by sorcerers, and his rehabilitation dragged on for a full year—slow, grueling, like sanding away the cursed residue that clung to his mind. He received treatment, real help, and eventually returned to the sorcerers’ side. Still, the weight of the lives he’d taken clung to him like smoke; even rebirth couldn’t erase the scent of old sins. Yet the second chance laid before him felt almost sacred, and Geto grasped it with both hands.
He became a teacher. He faced Gojo’s students. He reconnected with old comrades—everyone except Gojo. And though Gojo was told by Yaga and his students that Geto had changed, he made no move to seek him. If Geto wanted to face the past, he would have to walk to Gojo himself.
So he did. He sent Yuji ahead with a message, and Gojo waited at the far edge of Tokyo Jujutsu High, leaning against cold stone walls as dusk settled over the campus like a held breath. Yuji eventually returned to Geto, relaying Gojo’s simple, steady response.
Yuji: "Geto-sensei, he's waiting."
Geto: "Ah, thanks, Itadori." Geto said to Yuji with a light smile.
Yuji leaned into the gentle ruffle of Geto’s hand before the man turned and walked toward Gojo. The students, buzzing with nerves, trailed after him from a distance, desperate to see how their teacher would react. They didn’t get far. Shoko, Nanami, Utahime, Haibara, and Mei caught them almost instantly—but instead of scolding, Gojo and Geto’s old friends simply joined them. Together, they watched in silence, waiting for the moment past and present finally collided.
Geto: "Satoru…" He said as he approached Gojo slowly but he stopped before actually reaching Gojo.
Gojo went still the moment Geto appeared. Even beneath the blindfold, his eyes widened, his posture straightening as his focus locked onto Geto alone—everyone else faded from his awareness.
Gojo: "Is it you...? Have my prayers been answered? Is it really you standing there, or am I dreaming once more...?"
Geto doesn't respond.
Gojo: he walked over to Geto. "You look different..." he stood in front of Geto and brushed a string of hair out of Geto's face. "Your eyes look tired…" Gojo puts a hand on Geto's waist. "Your frame is lighter...."
Geto let's Gojo touch him without a word, Gojo's eyes are still unseeable because of his blindfold but his tone speaks volumes about his emotions.
Gojo: "Is it really you, my love…?"
Geto: he sighed softly. "I am not the man you fell in love with… I am not the man you once adored. I am not your kind and gentle husband…" even if he is now back to being good. He knows he cannot undo what he did before. "And I am not the love you knew before…"
Gojo doesn't say a word, he only listened to Geto. Geto looked at Gojo with a softer expression.
Geto: "Would you fall in love with me again…? If you knew all I've done? The things I cannot change! Would you love me all the same? I know that you've been waiting, waiting for love…"
Shoko, Utahime, Nanami, Haibara, and Mei all know just how long Gojo has been waiting for Geto without moving on and only forward.… Gojo's students: Yuji, Megumi, Maki, Yuta, Inumaki, Nobara, and Panda could only wonder how long while watching the scene…
