During the trial, Abel has been invited—or rather demanded—to attend as Adam's son and the new head of the exorcists.

The meeting was rather boring. There was a snake looking guy in the middle of the court room, telling the divine being—speaker of God—about his past and how he got into hell, and eventually, out.

You, Abel's lover, basically tuned most of it out. You were sitting right beside your boyfriend, he was watching with a calm, carefree expression, curious to learn more about this redeemed sinner who got to ascend to heaven after spending most of his afterlife in hell.

Abel's feet were propped up on your lap, his hands resting on his chubby stomach, sitting sideways in his chair, silent as to not disturb the meeting. You two had assigned seats right next to each other, for obvious reasons. You were in one of the booths sitting underneath on each side of the main seats assigned for the seraphim; Sera, the older, wiser sister and Emily, the younger and much more energetic sibling.
