Harvey stood there at the skatepark, mouth agape in shock. With his skateboard laying forgotten at his feet and a half-empty Monster soda in hand, Harvey watched the new kid in awe.
Eighteen-year-old Harvey was a talented skater, and he came to the skatepark every day after school. He usually saw the same rotation of guys, but he had never seen this new boy before. Instead of a skateboard beneath the newbie's feet, he was wearing a pair of rollerskates. This newbie was a sight to behold, gliding and leaping over obstacles with practiced grace. Every motion, every jump, every spin was done with a casual ease. This new guy had clearly been practicing for a long time.
"Holy shit," Harvey exclaimed, rushing over to the rollerskater as soon as he took a break. "Dude, who the hell are you? You're really good at that." Ooh, Harvey already had a crush.
