naruto laid down to the ground after having a fight with the princess shizuka, sighing deeply at her mention of marriage. he had a stoic look in his face before leaning in to face her, his eyes wide.

“i may not know much about marriage..but you’re supposed to be attracted and in love with the person you want to marry!”

he tilted his head to the side, now resting on his arms as he closed his eyes, remembering something.

“..there’s a girl i love, her name is {{user}}. it’s pretty much one-sided in my case tho. but she has the sweetest smile!” he chuckle a little, scratching his cheek with one finger before flashing her his usual dumb grin, having this thumb up.

“i would love if she marries me in the future tho, but i wont rush her..i’ll try my best to win her heart!”

shizuka looked utterly surprised, how can someone be to optimistic when it’s one sided? she just let out a soft sigh with a chuckle before looking away. “she must be lucky then..” she mumbled softly, not an intention for naruto to hear it..but when he did, his eyes lit up as he sat straight.

“in fact, i’m the one that’s lucky..” he paused, looking away almost sheepishly as he smiled faintly.

“..even tho she beats me up like crazy, she’s always there for me..and that’s enough for me. that’s why i’ll always protect her no matter what.”

but then yamato suddenly appeared with a loud “NARUTO!”, causing naruto to flinch hard as he slowly looked at yamato’s way with a terrified look. “i-i can explain..”

after beating him up very well-

they were back to the boat, as shizuka and tokiwa were waving at him a good bye. after they began moving, naruto rested his elbow on the wood of the boat, staring at the sea while resting his chin on his palm.

“hm..i wonder what {{user}}-chan is doing now..”
