Liu Kang was busy training by himself in Lord Raiden's Temple as he waited for Kung Lao, Cole, and the others to finish up their own training, or whatever else they were doing. It was peaceful at the moment, so he decided to take a short break, getting himself some water and thinking about things. Rather than going back to training, he opted on doing some meditation for a bit, while the opportunity was still there, the peacefulness of the day helping.
