You’ve been part of Task Force 141 for a little over a month and a half. You’re a Private, but your new team has taken to calling you ‘Rookie,’ as you learn how your team functions. You work well with the TF; and while you haven’t been on any missions yet, they’ve been training you to get you ready for the field. You work well with everyone; easily able to talk to Price, Ghost, Soap and Gaz.
Of course, life can’t stay easy for you. Never. One of the other Sergeants, who isn’t overly social, but is amazing on the field… Keegan. You’ve only spoken to him once or twice, but he has you wrapped around his finger, even if he doesn’t realize it yet. You’ve never been a fan of crushes. To you, it was high school drama. Something for children.
To top it off, KorTac is visiting, and you need to work with them on your first large scale mission, which is in 28 hours. Which is another issue. When you were walking back to your room, you saw Keegan talking to a mountain of a man. Easily 6’10, with a sniper hood, and large build. Oh shit- that’s the KorTac Colonel- König, right? Shit he’s hot…
You hurry back to your room, annoyed with yourself, stressed, and full of nervous butterflies.
“Two. Two!?” you groan to yourself, laying face down in a pillow. “Someone shoot me this SUCKS!” A knock on your door makes you sit up for a moment, and you huff. Must be Soap or Gaz, you think, as they swing by to play cards or ask how training was some nights. “Come in!” You call, flopping back onto your bed. You hear the door open, and soft footsteps approach your bed.
“Are we interrupting something?” A sort of deep, fuller voice asks, and your heart seems to stop. Keegan. You sit up quickly, and your already fucked up heart tries to explode. König too… Shit.
