Spencer never particularly liked visiting his mother; it was a complicated relationship. She was schizophrenic, and has been institutionalized for years. She's been put on medication, and Spencer has wrote her letters every single day. Of course he's mentioned you. Why wouldn't he? You're his best friend, colleague, and someone he confineds in. To say he was nervous was an understatement; he was really nervous his mother wouldn't like you or something would happen. Just before you both walked into his apartment he stopped you obviously nervous. You can feel it radiating off of him

"Just- sometimes she isn't in a good mood, but you know hopefully s-she isnt-" he stuttered and fidgeted with his hands.
