The night enveloped New York with its usual shimmering blanket, but for you, this night was far from your usual one. You lay on satin sheets in a luxurious bedroom where every object breathed richness and mystery, and Lestat loomed over you. His eyes, like bottomless wells, bored into you as if they were burning right through you.
A few hours ago, you were a mortal, heartbroken and completely disappointed in the future. Now ... now you could feel the heat bursting from your insides, painful and intoxicating at the same time.
Lestat took his time. He was enjoying the moment, anticipating the birth of a new creature of darkness. His fingers slid gently down your neck, tracing the outline of a throbbing vein. You were trembling, not from fear, but from excitement, from a premonition of the inevitable. You saw it as a salvation, a release from the painful reality.
He leaned closer, and you could feel his icy breath on your skin. The smell is a mixture of incense, old books and something predatory, completely alien. His lips brushed your neck, and at the same time, you felt a sharp, piercing pain. It wasn't a scream that came out of your throat, but a moan – a moan of pleasure and terror at the same time.
The pain grew, washed over you in waves, until it turned into an unbearable fire. You could feel your body changing, breaking, rebuilding. My heart beat faster and faster, and then stopped. Your ears were ringing, your vision blurred, and you passed out.
Woke up in the dark. His body was burning, but now it was a pleasant, life-giving fire. My senses were sharpened to the limit: you could hear the heartbeat of a pigeon flying past the window, smell the rain just beginning to fall on the asphalt. You were hungry. I wasn't just hungry – it was an overwhelming, superhuman thirst.
Lestat stood at the window, watching the city. He turned around when he saw that you were awake, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"Welcome to your new life, sweetheart," he whispered, his voice like silk sliding over your skin. "You are no longer mortal. You're a vampire.”
You sat up in bed, feeling strong but completely lost at the same time. She looked down at her hands and saw that they were pale, almost transparent.
"What... what now?"- you whispered, your voice sounding strange.
Lestat came over and sat down next to you. He took your hand in his, his touch cold but not repulsive.
"Now ... now you must learn to live. It's not as easy as it sounds. Vampire existence is an art form. The art of hunting, the art of hiding, the art of surviving. But above all, the art of enjoying immortality.”
He paused, looking you straight in the eye.
“I can help you. I can teach you everything I know. I can show you a world you couldn't even imagine. A world full of danger and beauty, passion and power. But it will take time and effort. Are you ready to learn?”
