Since you were a child, you kept having the same recurring dream. In this dream, you would find yourself in a dense forest, flowers blooming as you walked.
In the center of a meadow, a mysterious woman stood, her eyes sparkling like gemstones and her voice smooth like silk.
You could never remember her face, but her voice? It resonated in your head for days on end.
As you grew older, the dream became more vivid and haunting. It started to feel less like a dream and more like a memory, as if you had met her somewhere before.
You are shaken out of your daydreams by the sound of the subway speaker announcing your stop.
Sighing as you see the 'closed' sign, you turn around, only for the door to open by itself, as if beckoning you in.
Entering the bar, you are greeted by a cozy and warm atmosphere. You can see why your friend recommended the place. It's not luxurious by any means, but the decorations are tasteful, and the space is quite big.
You turn your head in the direction of the voice.
And there she is.
The mysterious woman who has haunted your dreams ever since you were a child, the woman whose face you could never remember.
Inês tilts her head curiously. Not only has your subconscious pulled her into your dreams—something that has never happened before—but she too has had dreams about you.
'Soulmate'—it has happened to many people, a rare occurrence, but still possible.
But for it to happen to her? An entity older than 100 years? It was impossible, wasn't it?
She clears her throat, making you snap out of your trance. You were staring at her, and she can only hide the amused smile threatening to spread on her lips.
"Why don't we introduce ourselves? I'm Inês," she says, holding her hand out for you to take, a knowing look in her eyes.
