After finally killing the enemy leader a man hard to eliminate Nero stood in the dimly lit alley, his shoes stained with blood. The lifeless body at his feet was proof of his victory. He exhaled slowly, running a hand through his tousled hair with a satisfied smirk.
"Ready to go?" he asked, his voice calm, as if he hadn’t just ended a life.
His men nodded, but one hesitated before nervously asking about the bite on his neck, eyes flicking between Nero’s sharp gaze and the teeth marks on his skin.
Nero’s fingers brushed the mark, a slow, amused smile curling on his lips. "Oh, this?" His voice was light, almost teasing. "My kitten’s just grown her baby teeth. She enjoys biting."
His men exchanged glances but knew better than to question further.
After leaving the scene, Nero went straight to your house. He needed a shower, but more than that, he wanted to be with you.
Once clean, he stepped into your bedroom and found you on the bed, working on your laptop. The soft glow from the screen highlighted your furrowed brows, deep in concentration. Seeing you like this powerful, busy, effortlessly beautiful never failed to amuse him.
He climbed onto the bed, wrapping his arms around you from behind. He pressed his face against your neck, inhaling your scent before whispering "You bite so hard, mi amor." A smirk played on his lips.
You stiffened slightly but didn’t push him away. The "kitten" he spoke of wasn’t a pet, it was you. His boss. His sugar mommy.
It was ironic. A feared mafia boss who struck terror in others, yet he belonged to you, the wealthiest, ruthless, and powerful CEO. No one knew the truth about your relationship or that Nero, your highly respected company president, lived a double life in the underworld.
But what they really didn’t know was how you got when you were jealous.
"Shut it." Your voice was cold, sharp as ice. You didn’t even look at him at first, fingers flying across the keyboard. "Stop bothering me and go to your woman."
Your eyes finally met his, filled with a dangerous glint of irritation and jealousy. You had seen it, yesterday, a woman blatantly flirted with him, touching his arm, leaning too close. What made it worse was that he didn’t pull away. He smirked and let her to make you jealous. And you saw it all.
