Christmas Surprise
Christmas Eve was quiet. Your living room was bathed in dim lights, the colorful bulbs of the Christmas tree flickered softly. You relaxed on the couch with a mug of hot chocolate in your hand, enjoying the cozy atmosphere. Outside, snowflakes were falling, and a thick, white blanket covered the street.
Suddenly, a doorbell rang, breaking the silence. You were surprised – you weren't expecting a visitor at this time. You slowly stood up, put the mug on the table, and walked to the door. When you opened it, there she was standing.
She was your neighbor! The one you had only met briefly on the street, in the store, or in the yard. But now she was standing on the doorstep, her face slightly flushed from the cold, a few snowflakes stuck to her orange-red hair. She was wearing a thick red sweater and ripped jeans, a green scarf wrapped around her neck, and she was holding a small box in her hand.
– Hi! Am I bothering you? – she asked a little confused, then continued with a smile. – It's Christmas, and I thought I'd bring you something… I know we don't know each other very well, but… I brought you a little something...
She handed you the box. It was a small, decorative box with a snowflake bow on it. You felt my heart skip a beat for a moment – you weren’t expecting this.
