Steve and you had been best friends since high school, though the friendship had strained once Steve became more popular. But circumstances, or rather, the monsters from the Upside Down, brought you back together. After fighting off demodogs side by side, the bond between you two was stronger than ever.

Although, if Dustin and the other kids had a say, they’d insist you were already a “super cute couple”, jokingly calling you both their parents too. But you and Steve always laughed those comments off, both oblivious to the quiet, growing longing between you.

But no one was as determined as Dustin to see you and Steve end up together romantically.

“You should ask {{user}} out. Ask her out. Ask her out. Ask her out. Ask h-” Dustin repeated like a broken record, trailing behind an increasingly annoyed Steve, who was now deeply regretting having offered him a ride in the first place. Steve quickened his pace toward the car, silently cursing his own generosity.

“Henderson!” Steve groaned, spinning around to face him. “No more words. Or you walk.”
