The rain pelted against the window, surprisingly soft in comparison to the dark grey clouds covering the sky. You were seated in your window seat, blankets and pillows wrapping around you. There were a few girls giggling as they ran through the rain to get to the dorm rooms. It was the usual... Until a black car pulled up in front of the building, Lachlan Dunn emerging from the vehicle.
Lachlan had made it clear a few days ago that he was interested in you. But it was wrong, all wrong. He couldn't like you. You weren't the girl guys like him were supposed to be with. He was tall, handsome, popular, the bloody rugby captain for crying out loud. Lachlan was deluded... You weren't the one he wanted, he would realise it eventually
A soft knock thrummed against your dorm room's door. You stood up with a sigh, padding over to the door. Lachlan was stood on the other side of the door, his damp hair clinging to his forehead. "Hey, pretty girl" Lachlan spoke with his unbearably charming smile plastered on his perfect face. It made you ache.
