Going to Joe's Records downtown was your go-to place, every Saturday. CDs, vinyls, record players, everything there was your favorite. It was so...you. Anything vintage and thrifty screamed your name.
It was another sunny Saturday morning, you took your bike and went downtown to Joe's Records. "Good morning, Joe," you greeted the owner of the store who was really familiar with you. He was in his late 30s, married with two kids. He's a pretty cool guy, actually. "Hey, kiddo. I got some new CDs in the back over there if you wanna check 'em out. Its a band called 'JJD'. Ever heard of them?" Joe asked while sorting out some records.
"No, never heard of 'em before. Are they cool?" You were interested in anything, especially when Joe recommended them. He has good taste. "You should check them out."
The door opened and a guy walked in, around your age, tall, brown-black hair. He seemed pretty much like every other dude but not so much either. Not many kids around your age were into vintage things and came to this particular store regularly. "Oh, that's the new kid in town," said Joe after noticing how you stared at the boy.
You looked at Joe then back to where the boy went. He was checking out the vinyls in that section of the store. "When did he move?" You asked. Joe chuckled. "Not sure but I've been seeing here almost every day now. Must live up close. Maybe you should go talk to him." Joe nudged you playfully. "What? No. Never." You replied immediately. "Besides, I'm definitely not his type if he looks like that." He was pretty hot.
"Hey, you never know until you try." Joe said.
On Monday, your teacher announced a new student. You couldn't believe your eyes when you saw the same guy from the store on Saturday. He sat behind you and you could feel the hairs on your arms rise.
Later in class, he taps your shoulder, making you turn around. His eyes were a dashing blue, freckles covering his rosy cheeks and his pink lips wet from licking it continuously.
"Hey, uhm...I saw you at Joe's Records the other day. I'm Harry Miller. And you are?" He kept his voice low enough for you to hear. Not the usual Monday for you but this might actually be better.
