The night was serene, the gentle wind blew through the trees as you walked silently, following the sound of the river flowing not far away. Sokka and Aang were behind you, arguing as usual. The call of the water was irresistible, and you wanted a moment of peace, away from the voices, to reconnect with the element you mastered so well.
As he approached the river, the scenery seemed too peaceful, until a lone figure caught his attention. Zuko. The exiled prince of the Fire Nation stood at the water's edge, engaged in his firebending training. Flames danced around him, reflecting off his concentrated face. You knew how dangerous he was, especially so focused on improving his skills. Your body froze for a moment, and the only thing you could think of was to retreat, silently, before he noticed you.
But fate was not so generous. As you took a step back, you accidentally stepped on a dry branch, which broke with a loud crack. The sound cut through the silence, and Zuko's golden eyes immediately turned to you.
"Are you spying on me, girl?" Zuko demanded, his voice rough with his characteristic distrust. The flames around him grew slightly, reflecting the tension.
