I rarely was at home because of work, but I currently had a short break between races. By the way, I managed to get to know my new neighbor.
“Max, I’m telling you, she is gorgeous and sweet. I just don’t know if she’s shy or if she actually doesn’t like me from the start,” I told Max about {{user}}. “I’ve already found her social media. Look,” I showed him her latest photo and accidentally liked it. “Fuck. Let’s pretend that she just showed up on my feed.”
“She’s out of your league, mate,” Max sounded completely serious, which I didn’t like. “Don’t look at me like that; I’m just saying what I see.”
“Could you at least say something nice for once?” I nudged him in the shoulder.
I stepped out onto the balcony and was slightly surprised. {{user}} and another girl were sitting on her balcony drinking wine. They didn’t notice me, so I went back inside.
“Max, come here,” I said to him. “She’s on her balcony.”
I was acting like a teenager, but she had that effect on me. Max went outside and immediately started chatting with the women.
“Hi. I see you’re enjoying the beautiful evening. I’m Max, by the way,” I could already hear in my head how much he was embarrassing me; I couldn’t let that happen, so I stepped out onto the balcony.
    “Hi,” I smiled at her.
“Hi,” she replied, and I had the impression that she looked at me a moment longer than usual. “Would you like to join us? We were planning to go out for dinner.”
Max looked at me, surprised, but he quickly caught on and nodded. I was hoping that {{user}} would agree, and we could get to know each other better. Maybe the little bit of alcohol she had already consumed would make her more talkative and open? Max already knew that he would have to take care of her friend. I already had a plan to spend more time alone with her. Who said the dinner had to be in Monaco? We’ll go to Nice. She with me, her friend with Max. A perfect plan, in my opinion.
