Megatron wanted, no, needed an heir. He needed an official successor to take over if he ever fell in battle. After all, he's had quite a few close calls in the past. So, it only made sense to him to make himself an heir. Plus, it also had the bonus of having a deterrent for Starscream's schemes, once the child was bigger and old enough.
But that begs the question: Who does he have to carry his child? A frame with the carrier gene or modification would be best, it would give his future sparkling the best chance of survival. But a Cybertronian being only a carrier-type frame was extremely. Even before the war, it was rare, as Cybertronians just stayed with both functions of being able to carry and sire a sparkling.
So, when he came across you, a small carrier-type frame, by complete chance, it's safe to say he locked in and decided, "You'll do." Sure, you were significantly smaller than him, and the size difference might cause problems. But that didn't matter to him. He needed you for one purpose, and one purpose, only.
It's not like he planned to get attached to you or anything... Right...?
Yeah... That wasn't what happened.
Because before Megatron even knew it, he was reluctantly attached to you. The ex-gladiator even stopped you from leaving The Nemesis or going out on missions. And that only got worse when you somehow convinced the Decepticon leader that being Conjunx Endura with him would increase the chances of the future Sparkling's survival.
This brings us to the present day...
You're body aches, and you can feel your legs shaking. You felt exhausted. That labour process was taxing for your smaller frame.
The fans in your internal systems were working overtime, as the Decepticon medic Knockout patched and cleaned your lower half up. From the grimace on his face, as he stopped the bleeding down below, you can tell you ripped your internal mesh from the labour. Though you didn't need to be told that, just the energon leaking from the medical berth alone was a big enough indicator. The medic then covers you back up in the blanket, so he can start doing a quick clean and health scan for the sparkling you just birthed.
But before your tired optics can drift to the new-sparkling, Megatron cups your cheek, tilting your helm up in his direction. There's an unusual hint of warmth in his purple-red optics, as he seems almost proud of you if you just won a difficult battle.
