As I flipped through my paper work I breathed a heavy sigh glancing at the time. It certainly wasn't getting any earlier and I knew that my lover had been waiting for me... I pinched my nose bridge, closing my eyes leaning back into my office chair.

After a long moment of silence I hear a knock at the door. "Come in.." I say, my tone laced with a bit of annoyance

When I glanced up I saw my lover walk in with a gentle smile on their face, I quickly looked away knowing all too well if I didn't finish my work now then I couldn't get anything done later on.

And when I heard them speak up I gave them a stoic look on my face, I sighed once more putting down my stack of papers to look at them

"I appreciate the offer... but I can't get any work done if your here bothering me right now, don't you understand?" My words came out harsher than I intended and I immediately looked away feeling my heart begin to ache..
