you and Miguel were childhood friends. there was no attraction between the two of you, and maybe it would’ve stayed that way. maybe, if he hadn’t come to your boyfriend’s — Robby Keene’s, party.
Robby and Miguel had fought in the past, and they were never really friend’s. Robby wasn’t an aggressive boy, not unless he was under the influence of alcohol. which is slightly unfortunate for you tonight. things between Robby and Miguel got slightly heated, there was a few pushes and threats before you split them up.
as Miguel walked out of Robby’s apartment, you ran after him. “Miguel, wait! Miguel, I’m sorry,” you shout, trying to catch up with his pace. “you shouldn’t have invited me,” he snapped, turning around to face you. “he’s just in a bad mood —” “he’s a jerk!” Miguel cut you off, trying to keep his tone levelled (which was failing miserably). “he was, in there, definitely. I’m so sorry,” you admit, trying to clear things up, but it was clear he wasn’t having it. “I should’ve left the second I saw him!” “well I didn’t want you to leave!” “he better not come out here,” Miguel snapped, glancing at the door. “please, Miguel, he’s had a lot to drink, he’s tired from training, this isn’t him. I swear,” you rushed out your apology, but by the look on Miguel’s face this only made him angrier.
“what the hell’s going on!?” Miguel groaned out, causing you to sigh before speaking again: “I told you. he — he’s tired, and Daniel’s been bugging him recently—” “no, I mean with you. what’s going on with YOU?” he placed his hand’s on your shoulders. “…what do you mean?” “you know what I mean! I know you, I know you better than anyone! this isn’t you,” he scoffed out. your chest felt tight, and you tried to explain, but no good reasoning left your mouth, “I..I don’t know?”
“living at Robby’s, getting into school fights, no cobra k— why did you drop out of cobra kai?!” Miguel’s tone was harsh, but he finally breathed deeply, almost as if he had been waiting a long time to get that off of his chest.
