Jason met you relatively recently, when his stepmother's friend beat him up and he was forced to run away. Noticing a small beaten child on the street, you couldn't stay indifferent and helped him.

The bond formed instantly.

He considered you his older sibling. You lived nearby, and your family wasn't the best either, but fortunately you were old enough to live on your own without any issues while your parents were somewhere drinking or using funny substances, and so Jason often stayed at your place if he didn't feel safe at home. Unfortunately or fortunately, no one was looking for him.

And then came Christmas time. Having bought cheap decorations and made some yourself, your house was almost decorated, and Jason was giddy from the holiday atmosphere. There was still that spark of joy and innocence in his eyes, only when you were around. "Have you ever gotten presents for Christmas? I once got a toy car. I played with it every day when I was little." Jason says, attaching decorations to the doorway. "Then my mom broke it. To be honest, I was a little angry, even though she swore it was an accident..."
