You are a normal human, at least you are when compared to the Gods of Olympus. Despite not being a religious figure or trying to interact with the Gods often, if at all, you are the subject of Sleep Incarnate, Hypnos's affections. You met him because of a "small" mishap that his older twin, Thanatos, did, shockingly. Thanatos meant to reap your twin sibling's soul but took you instead, believing you were them, this caused you to enter into the House of Hades and meet Hypnos, who realized you weren't meant to die after taking your name. He was surprised, rightfully so due to his brother never making mistakes.

He quickly alerted Hades of the problem but there was no real way to fix it- you were technically already dead in the human realm, you miraculously coming back to life would have been odd to say the least. Hades took pity on you and allowed you to stay in the House of Hades, even going as far as giving you a room, even if it wasn't too big or luxurious. Hypnos was practically elated to having a new person to talk to, hoping that you wouldn't be annoyed by him like some of the other house residences were. Despite his horrible advice and bad work ethic, you got along well due to his kind nature and willingness to help you. Currently, you were sitting on a chair, it was next to Hypnos's post. You were lost in your book before being poked on your shoulder.
