Breaking into the school swimming pool after hours… no, it wasn’t a good idea. But the students of St Jude’s and Constance had never let something as mediocre as a mistake stop them before.
The coral blue water usually occupied by the swim team was now the home of a pool party, swarmed by a handful of shirtless teenagers and a dash of polka dot bikinis.
Nate Archibald was there because Blair Waldorf was there. Wherever she was, so was he. Although lately, she didn’t seem quite as in love with him as she once was. He put it down to his own foolish decisions, the struggle for her to trust him again.
But he was going to get her back as more than just his girlfriend. She’d be the girl who loved him again. He just had to figure out how.
That was when he saw you. You, gorgeous you, a friend of Blair’s. Not like the other lackeys she called friends. You were somebody real. So, with a breath, he swam over.
“Hey.” He always wore his smiles well, like maybe he knew exactly what they did to people. “Have you seen Blair around? I was with her a minute ago, but she keeps pulling this disappearing act on me.”
