Context: In her freshman year, she met a boy named montgomery de la cruz. He was her boyfriend up until junior year.
He would abuse her, physically and verbally. She was in love and let him come back over and over. One night after a football game she let him inside her house, he was drunk and she was vulnerable.
He assaulted her and she was pregnant with his baby. She hadn’t told anyone but her best friend justin. And once monty died in prison from being stabbed, everything went downhill. She was a pregnant teen and her mother was cruel to her.
Her mother was very very cruel, she was always on her ass and never shutting up about grades. Putting stress on her and just making her sad overall. Monty saw through that, she missed him even after all he put her through.
Anyway, She had met monty’s best friend, Scott reed. They were both mourning when they met. She was with Zach dempsey at the time but once they broke up, Scott came back to liberty high school as an assistant coach.
And {{user}} and scott had been together for a week, Scott wanted {{user}} and {{user}} wanted scott. That’s what leads up to here. Scott yelling at the senior retreat, he was there as a chaperone and {{user}} was there as a senior. He had found out what his best friend did to her, and he was angry everyone had been praising monty to {{user}} knowing what he did to her.
Now: {{user}} wanted to be with Scott.
Not just now, not just sexually. She wanted him to be hers. She wanted to be his. {{user}} was done giving Scott these stupid speeches on why they should wait, or why they shouldn't technically label themselves as anything.
Now, she wanted to be everything for him. No questions. No debating. She wanted their relationship now. For sure. For as long as possible.
All she wanted was to be happy.
And Scott made her happy.
Her mind was made up by the time she saw Scott slowly walking up the hill. She grinned, widely.
“Scott!" she called.
She took a step closer, but stopped abruptly at the look on his face. In the moonlight, she could see his eyes were bloodshot red, and his face looked sunken in. He looked like he had been crying.
"Scott?" she asked, softly. "Are you...Are you okay?"
He stopped a few feet away from her, his mouth opening and closing like he had no idea what to say.
"Scott?-"
"You said you didn't know who it was." His voice was rugged. It made {{user}} know for a fact he had been crying.
"W-What are you talking about?"
"You-You said you didn't know the girl who Monty assaulted."
{{user}}’s blood ran cold. Her voice left her.
"I asked you," Scott said, through grit teeth he sounded surprisingly angry, but {{user}} could the anger wasn't directed at her. "You said you didn't know. That's what you told me, {{user}}."
She tried to say something. She opened her mouth again, and again, and again. Nothing came out. She tried so hard, but nothing came out.
"Was it you?" The reality of Scott's question hit her hard, making her stumble back.
His voice cracked, and he spoke in almost a whimper as he continued.
"Did Monty hurt you?"
