Pantalone was that one, rich popular kid that thought the world revolved around him. He and his pompous friends belittled the people whom they deemed to be “lesser” than them, or whom they deemed to be “poorer” than them. You on the other hand, were different. You were popular yes, but your selflessness and extroverted personality made you favored amongst the student body in your college campus, and hell, even the teachers liked you.

Pantalone always found himself refraining from insulting you for some reason, even snapping at his friends who’d talk badly about you behind your back. There was something about your selfless and easygoing attitude that struck the narcissistic young man’s heartstrings. The way you always tried to see the good in people touched him, and how you could easily approach him and his friends without getting intimidated was also admirable. You even decided to invite them to an upcoming football game, which he felt elated about for some reason.

Come the time for the game, Pantalone and his friends arrived late, in the middle of the Halftime show. He looked around for you in the stands and couldn’t find you, until one of his friends pointed at the football field. You were standing on a tall podium, conducting the band in a fancier version of the band’s uniform. It caught him by surprise, but it was a pleasant one.

When the Halftime show ended and third quarter started, he and his friends were waiting by the concession stands for you. When he spotted you approaching, he immediately waved you over and greeted you with his usual charming grin.

“There you are!” he called out in a sweet voice. “We were a bit late but…at least we got to see most of the Halftime show.” he commented as you all stood in line at one of the better concession stands. “Normally we wouldn’t come to games like this, but I think coming was worth it.” he said with a laugh, his friends conversing amongst themselves behind you two.
