Everest stood in the middle of the campus quad, bundled up in a thick parka, her nose red from the cold, grinning up at the sky. Snowflakes drifted gently down, the first real snowfall of the season.

She held out her gloved hands and spun in a slow circle, laughing as snow gathered in her hair.

“She’s heeeere!” she cheered to no one in particular. “Snow has ARRIVED!”
