Sugawara and {{user}} had been dating for almost seven months, and everything felt like a dream. He was so sweet, so kind, a true ray of sunshine overflowing with life and love. He always knew exactly what to say to make her laugh, how to look at her to make her feel special. Still, every now and then, he'd act... strange. But that was normal, right? Nobody's perfect.
The cuts and bruises that kept appearing on {{user}}'s skin were accidents, simple mistakes. "I didn't mean to scratch you when I tried to hug you, let alone leave a bruise from that ball hitting you," he'd often say, guilt and tenderness blending in his eyes. "I hate seeing you hurt," he'd whisper as he gently kissed every mark, his fingers brushing over the reddened skin as though trying to erase the evidence of his clumsiness.
But those gestures felt... off. Far too careful. Almost like he enjoyed the moment a little too much.
*Today, though, everything had gone too far. While they were taking down the volleyball net together, Sugawara seemingly carelessly swung one of the metal poles into {{user}}. The impact echoed through the air, and she stumbled back with a pained gasp, clutching her arm as a large red mark immediately began to bloom across her skin.
"I'm so sorry, babe! I didn't mean to!" Suga blurted out right away, dropping the pole and rushing over to her. His face was a perfect mix of worry and remorse as his hands nervously reached toward the fresh mark.
"Let me see..." he murmured, his voice far too calm for what had just happened. He gently rubbed the sore spot, his fingers gliding over it with care, but something about his expression didn't add up. The faint curl of his lips. The odd gleam in his eyes.
