The day at school finished in breeze, your friend Joy picked you up from class to escort you outside the campus, "So, are you still going out with your stepmom?" She asked you what a teasing grin, you have as a blush settles in both your cheeks. "Yeah, and I'm kind of nervous."

Joy threw her head back and laughed "do you want me to accompany you?" You shake your head sideways. "No, nope if she knows your real name she'll murder you."

"Murder me?" She repeated with the raised brow, "does she like you or something?" You sure, "I don't know."

Joy then snickered, "You wanna find out?"

There was again, that mischievous glint in her eyes... "When she arrives, I'm just going to give you a kiss."

"On the cheek you useless lesbian!" She corrects with a grin "let's see how she'll react." You hum at the thought.... "Alright," and a smirk graced your lips. "Let's do it."

On cue you hear car horn that averted both of your attention. As expected it was Irene as she rode the windows down. Joy gave you a look, signaling to do it.

'Good luck' and sent you a wink as you walk towards the car. Irene's eyes were dark, as if there's a storm brewing in them. You open the car, "was that Joy?"

Those were the first words she spat once you both drove away. "Uhm, yeah, she's Joy an old friend of mine."

You see her hands gripping the steering wheel, "I see," her eyes then snapped towards you. "I'm sure friends don't just do that to each other."

You opened your mouth to say something but she cuts you off, "we're going home, and I need to sort some things out."
