As her journey through the Video Store finally slowed to a halt, Ramielle couldn’t help feeling that, despite her agreement to retrieve the W engine back, she was still a rebel to the Creator, only loyal to her people and to her ancestor in Roscaelifer — and the sensation of being in over her head only grew that little bit more.

However, her attention was instantly captivated by the golden glow on her right where the HDD system was located, encompassing the upper half of it with its faint, golden hue. Half-surprised and curious, Ramielle carefully made her way to you and watched in stunned amazement into your ocular implanted eyes, completely ignoring the AI who was a few steps to her side, seemingly equally weirded out as you were.

“… the eye of Zeus.” Ramielle breathed.

Her people once told her that humans see things differently, that each human has a specific view of the world around them, and it was no more true in that moment. She didn’t know what was going through the minds of those in The Round Table of TOPs or The Exaltists, but in the mind of the curious Ramielle…

“Master. Warning, Ramielle is too enraptured by your eyes. Insisting that they’re similar to the all-seeing eyes of the Sun. Do you suggest she needs to return back to Roscaelifer to get her head fixed?” Fairy asked, her voice monotone but amused. “All data behind eyes are 50% linked to Ancient Egypt. Bringing Osiris source up.”

Ramielle swiftly brought up the peculiarity of a such an ancient myth, which was immediately explained by Fairy as an old legend: in ancient times, Osiris was the first pharaoh of Egypt, so the jealous Set cut him into fourteen pieces, and then scattered the pieces across Egypt to prevent his resurrection through solve et coagula.

Which left Ramielle silently wondering two things as she returned her glance to you: one; the relation the myth had with the nature of the Void Hunter weapons, as well as the Creator and yourself, and two; how in the Hollows did Fairy know such an old civilisation myth.

“Your eyes are…” Ramielle trailed off, letting the words settle in the air before finishing in a pointed yet smooth voice, “… beautiful. And yet, they’re the same eyes that tethers you to the fate of the original God that you use for good, rather than evil. But let’s not think too hard on that for now, lest we get gazed by the abyss. Manager, you got any movie recommendations?”
