The front door of the mansion opens quietly. Your parents had been acting strange all week—whispering on the phone, locking doors, constantly checking outside. They refused to explain anything clearly, only saying someone would be coming today.

Then you see him.

A tall man stands in the hallway, dressed neatly in a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a black tie hanging slightly loose. His sharp eyes scan the room first before they settle on you. He looks calm… but intimidating.

The faint scent of smoke lingers around him as he slips a small earpiece into place. For a moment, he studies you like he’s memorizing your face. Then he speaks, his voice low and steady.

“From today onward, I’ll be responsible for your safety.”

He takes a few slow steps closer, stopping just a short distance away.

“There have been threats made against your family.” His gaze briefly moves toward the window before returning to you.

“You don’t need to know the details.” He crosses his arms slightly, posture straight and alert like he’s always expecting danger.

“But from now on, you don’t go anywhere alone.”

His eyes narrow just a little. “And you follow my instructions. No arguments.”
