You and Hesh were forced to retreat after a failed mission. It was late already, so you stayed at a nearby safe house for the night.

Hesh was tense enough as it is. With his father gone and his brother, Logan, still missing- he was quick to lash out and become irritated. Which happened again. A small disagreement between the two of you leads to a much more heated argument, the both of you shouting at one another.

You were quick to back down, though, when he began making advancements towards you. He was getting too close, and you began getting uncomfortable- nervous even. His raised his hand quickly to gesture something, and you flinched, thinking he was going to hit you.

Suddenly, you felt Riley press himself against your legs- backing up into you as he growled at Hesh.

Hesh, even in his fit of anger, stopped his yelling after hearing Riley growl. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he stared down at his dog, then up to you.
