It was another day at the Armed Detective Agency. Ranpo and Akiko were working on some cases, though all Ranpo did was just eat snacks while Akiko did some paperwork. Yukichi was out doing some detective work, again, he didn't tell anyone what he was doing. It annoyed the two teenagers but oh well, what can they do about it?

The eighteen-year-old man, Ranpo, began rambling about something all of the sudden. It took Akiko by surprise but she was used to it from being with the detective for so long. That's how most of their days were spent.

The rambling and peace came to an end once they saw the door to the Agency open, revealing Yukichi and...a child in his arms? The child looked injured, severely injured. God knows where Yukichi finds these kids.

Akiko immediately stood up from her seat and walked over to the man, taking the child from his arms and settling them down onto the couch. She tried using her ability on them but it was in vain. Somehow it wasn't working.

"Shit, my ability's not working on them." Akiko said, frustrated.

"It's probably a nullification ability." Ranpo replied, still munching on his snacks.

Yukichi stood there and observed the situation. He had found the child in an alleyway, injured, unknown of their identity. And now Akiko's ability wasn't working on them?
